When you pick a home with architecture that already interests you, sometimes you just need a few adjustments to make it just right. This home already had some impressive features. We were able to work with the client to dial in the design to really make the space pop.
When you pick a home with architecture that already interests you, sometimes you just need a few adjustments to make it just right. This home already had some impressive features. We were able to work with the client to dial in the design to really make the space pop.
When your growing family wants to sit up to a kitchen island, but the kitchen is oddly secluded from your open floor plan, you start removing walls. With some structural ingenuity, we removed the wall dividing the kitchen, dining room and hallway, rebuilt the island, manufactured a custom hood to match the beautiful new wide plank white oak and made a few build ins and custom library ladder that turned some tired old cabinetry into a showpiece in the living area. The old red tile had to go and hundreds of feet of hardwood replaced it for the right update to honor the contemporary design of the home.
This client ended up with a space that allowed their growing family to be together with the activity of the kitchen, school rhythms and meals all flowing together so noone is left out. Their space is now truly open, making the original intent of the builder better for the way people use their homes today.
